Chapter 1

This chapter presents a full discussion of the  four groups of symptoms and of the course of THE SYNDROME, as well as a discussion of four cases of acute onset.

The Post-LSD Syndrome consists of four groups of symptoms, namely, a severe anxiety state, a severe sleep disturbance, impaired intellectual functioning, and emotional instability.  Most patients experience an acute onset with extreme anxiety, panic, inability to concentrate and think clearly, insomnia, and surges of emotion, particularly anger or sadness.  This chapter describes and discusses these symptoms in detail and then presents four  typical, severe cases of acute onset of The Post-LSD Syndrome and their remarkable improvement with treatment.  All achieved remission.
